Peter Derns is a manager in a food factory. To relieve him, Kris Bolin is hired as an assistant, she does a good job.
Some of Peter’s competitors die in unexplained circumstances, which enables his quick promotions. Kris also wants to be closer to him privately. Peter discovers that Kris may have killed his rivals.
Remarks
The film ends with Peter turning Kris over to the police. It is more or less clear to the viewer that she is behind all the accidents, although she does not make a confession. The previous events are no longer discussed, much remains in the dark.

James Berardinelli wrote on ReelViews that the thriller contained numerous implausibilities . Timothy Hutton is unconvincing; Lara Flynn Boyle and Maura Tierney performed well.
