Timothy Hutton
Timothy Hutton (born August 16, 1960 in Malibu , California ) is an American actor , director and Oscar winner.
Life
He was born in Malibu , California , to actor Jim Hutton . He started his career with a few television roles and made his screen debut in 1980's A Just Normal Family , which was directed by Robert Redford . For this role he received an Oscar for best supporting actor . He is the fourth youngest Oscar winner after Tatum O'Neal , Anna Paquin, and Patty Duke , as well as the youngest male winner in the acting categories. He dedicated the award to his father Jim Hutton, who could no longer attend the award ceremony.
He initially had success in a number of spectacular films such as Daniel about Ethel and Julius Rosenberg , The Cadets of Bunker Hill (1981) and The Falcon and the Snowman (1985). After that, his film selection turned out to be rather unfortunate from a commercial point of view. On the set of Alan Rudolph's comedy Made in Heaven (1987), however, he met his future wife Debra Winger .
Hutton played in such diverse films as French Kiss (1995) Playing God (1997) Defenseless - The General's Daughter (1999), the Independent Film Land of Sunshine - Sunshine State (2002), the Stephen King - adaptation Secret Window ( 2004), the biopic Kinsey - The Truth About Sex (2004).
In 2002 he played the first-person narrator Archie Goodwin in a television series about Nero Wolfe .
Between 2008 and the end of the series in 2012, Hutton played one of the leading roles in the series Leverage . There he can be seen as Nathan Ford alongside Gina Bellman and Christian Kane .
Private
Hutton's marriage to Debra Winger in 1986 and divorced in 1990. A son emerged from her. He then married a niece of the former French President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing , with whom he has a son. Hutton has been a member of the Freemasonry Association since 2005 , his lodge , Herder Lodge No. 698 , is based in New York City.
