action

A festival is held annually in the small town of Delrona Beach to commemorate the pirates who once worked in the region. Afro-American boy Terrell Wilkins is accused of the crime after one of the moving trucks is set on fire. He will be handed over to Eunice Stokes' care.

Stokes is visited by her daughter Desiree, who works as an actress. Desiree, who became pregnant in high school and then moved away, is accompanied by her husband, Reggie Perry. She meets her former boyfriend from school.

Marly Temple runs a motel in town. She wants to sell the property to a group of investors, but her father - the owner - doesn't consent. Temple has a love affair with landscape architect Jack Meadows.
