Heavens Fall is an American film drama from the year 2006 . Directed by Terry Green , who also wrote the script.

action

The action takes place in Alabama in the 1930s. Victoria Price and Ruby Bates accuse nine African American men of rape. The men are charged. The juveniles are each sentenced to the death penalty, which makes the case known in the media. The New York attorney Samuel Leibowitz takes over the defense in the appeal. The death sentences are commuted to long prison terms.

John DeFore wrote in the Hollywood Reporter that the film tells its story with some "stylistic embellishment" and without any attempt to manipulate the viewer.

Terry Green received the 2006 Hollywood Discovery Award from the Hollywood Film Festival and the Audience Award from the Birmingham Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival .
