Lew Temple (born October 2, 1967 in Louisiana ) is an American actor . Since the beginning of his career, he has appeared in nearly 100 film and television productions.

life and career

Lew Temple was born in the US state of Louisiana, but grew up in Texas . He was a very successful baseball player during his time at Rollins College . He graduated from college in 1985. Too small for the great baseball career, he remained loyal to the sport and was active as a scout for the New York Mets .

He has been active in film and television since 1993. He is best known for his appearances in horror films. He was seen in The Devil's Rejects or Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning . He also performed in 21 grams and dominoes . In addition to these roles, Temple also plays regularly on television, including CSI: Miami , Criminal Minds or Navy CIS: LA , but he is best known for the role of Axel from the third season of The Walking Dead . At the beginning of his career, Temple often lent his voice to anime characters. To this day, he also speaks video game characters.

In 2002 he was diagnosed with blood cancer. After eight months in hospital, he was able to conquer the disease. Today he still takes part in charity campaigns in the fight against cancer.
