action

On Halloween in 1976, a group of fairground workers (Charly, Venus, Panda, Levon and Roscoe) was attacked while driving, kidnapped and taken to an abandoned factory. There, three elderly people in baroque costumes explain to them that they are now participating in a game called “31”. The game is said to last for 12 hours and it is up to the players to survive this time while a number of murderous clowns try to kill them. In the labyrinth-like factory, the protagonists encounter the clowns Sick-Head, Psycho-Head, Schizo-Head, Death-Head and Sex-Head. Only Charly, Venus and Roscoe survive these encounters, so the game organizers call in another clown named Doom-Head. Venus and Roscoe also die, only Charly survives injured and manages to leave the factory. She finds shelter in an abandoned house. Doom-Head tracks them down there and is happy to be able to kill them with relish. But a siren and an announcement stop him: The 12 hours have passed - the game is over. He leaves the house without hurting Charly. In the final scene, Charly hobbles along a deserted desert road. Doom-Head approaches in a van, stops and gets out. Charly and Doom-Head are ready to fight.
