Elizabeth Daily (born September 11, 1961 in Los Angeles , California ), actually Elizabeth Ann Guttman , is an American singer , voice actress and actress .

Life

Daily began her career in 1978 with an extra role . This was followed by guest appearances in television series , and she also appeared in Rod Stewart's music video for Young Turks . In 1982 she had a major supporting role in The Great Magic for the first time at the side of Raúl Juliá and Desi Arnaz , the following year she played in Martha Coolidge's comedy Valley Girl alongside Nicolas Cage . In the mid-1980s she appeared in Walter Hill's Streets in Flames and in the comedies A Strong Number and Fandango .

In 1985 she signed a recording contract with A&M Records and released her first album Wild Child the following year under the name EG Daily , which was produced by Harold Faltermeyer and Keith Forsey , among others . With the single Say It, Say It decoupled from the album , she had a minor chart success; this was placed at number 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top of the Billboard dance music charts. With Love in the Shadows and Mind Over Matter , a contribution to the soundtrack of the Carl Reiner comedy Summer School , she was able to place two more singles in the top 20 of the dance music charts, but these missed their place on the Billboard Hot 100 The second album, released in 1989, was not a commercial success, whereupon the record deal was terminated. A third album was created ten years later.

From the beginning of the 1990s, Daily worked mainly as a voice actress, so she has been speaking the role of Tommy Pickles in the animated series Rugrats since 1991 and in the feature films based on it and the spin-off All Grown Up . Between 1995 and 2005, she voiced Buttercup on The Powerpuff Girls . She also spoke the voice of Piggy Babe in Piggy Babe in the Big City . In the theme music to Two and a Half Men , Daily sang the voice of Angus T. Jones .

Daily had a relationship with actor Jon-Erik Hexum in the mid-1980s . She was married to Rick Salomon between 1995 and 2000 and had two children. She has been married for a second time since 2010.
