16-year-old Charles Cummings is a passionate hobby photographer . He prefers to photograph landscape panoramas and buildings. He happened to photograph Laura Victor, who has fascinated him ever since.

A few days later, Cummings sees the woman again, she works as a singer in a bar. Since the band that Victor accompanies is in the process of breaking up, she is threatened with losing her job. In this situation, Cummings gets to know the woman better. He does photo sessions with her as a model.

Cummings used his savings, which were earmarked for a trip to Europe, to put ads on city taxis with a picture of Victor and her phone number. She is angry because she was not asked for consent, but receives offers to perform. Laura spends one night with Charles and flies to Los Angeles , where she has a new job.

Meinolf Zurhorst wrote in the book Demi Moore. Lady and Vamp. that Demi Moore appears "overall quite convincing" in the film. The critics would have noticed her "acting effort". The comedy is "precisely observing" and "sensitively staged".

The lexicon of international films wrote that the film was "well-acted entertainment", the staging of which had "youthful freshness" and "poetry".
