Eve Newman

Eve Newman (born July 24, 1915 in California , † October 10, 2003 in Los Angeles , California) was an American film editor .

Life

Newman began her career as a music editor in the early 1950s. By 1963 she was involved in more than 30 productions in this capacity. From 1964 she worked as a film editor. Her last production, Homeland - Violence in the Underground , dates back to 1987.

For the film Wild in the Streets , she and her colleague Fred R. Feitshans junior were nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Editing in 1969. She received a second nomination in 1977 for her work on Two Minutes of Warning . Here she worked with Walter Hannemann .

She died as a result of complications from cancer.
