Fred R. Feitshans junior

Fred R. Feitshans junior (born September 10, 1909 in Los Angeles , California , † December 21, 1987 in Studio City , Los Angeles, California) was an American film editor .

Life

Feitshans junior worked as an independent editor from 1940. He worked on cinema productions until the 1950s, after which his focus shifted to television series. From 1964 he was again mainly responsible for film editing in cinema productions .

In 1949 he made his debut as a director with the film In der Arctic Hell . He shot the film with Norman Dawn and was also involved as a producer and cameraman . This production remained his only directorial work.

For the film Wild in the Streets , he and his colleague Eve Newman were nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Editing in 1969.

His son Buzz Feitshans , born in 1937, is a film producer. His grandson Buzz Feitshans IV (* 1959) works as a cameraman. His father Rollin Feitshans took part in the Olympics as a tennis player.
