Tate Donovan
Tate Buckley Donovan (born September 25, 1963 in Tenafly , New Jersey ) is an American actor , director and voice actor .
biography
Donovan moved to Los Angeles at a young age to devote himself to the film industry. He starred as Jimmy Cooper in the series OC, California from 2003 to 2007 . He had previously been seen in small film roles or in series such as Ally McBeal , Magnum or Godzilla: The Series . In 1992, he starred alongside Sandra Bullock in the comedy Love Potion No. 9 - The Scent of Love and starred in 1997 alongside Wesley Snipes in the thriller Murder at the White House . This was followed by a smaller role over five episodes in the TV series Friends . In 2001 he had a small role in the thriller Password: Swordfish . He is also in the comedy The Babynator and the drama Good Night, and Good Luck. , both from 2005. In 2007 he played the role of Carson Drew , the father of the teenage detective, in the movie Nancy Drew - Girl Detective . He also had a minor role in the film Shooter . He was seen from 2007 to 2010 in the television series Damages - Im Netz der Macht as partner of a New York star lawyer played by Glenn Close and was also entrusted with the direction of two episodes of the second season in 2009. He made his directorial debut in 2005 with an episode of the series OC, California .
