Tracey Walter (born November 25, 1947 in Jersey City , New Jersey ) is an American actor and character actor. He has already played in over a hundred films and various television series.

Life

He is best known for his portrayals of the "minor characters" or "henchmen" Bob the Goon in Batman , Cookie in City Slickers - The Big City Heroes and Malak in Conan the Destroyer at the side of Arnold Schwarzenegger . Another role was the character of Angel in the television series Nash Bridges with Don Johnson .

Walter has worked in six films by director Jonathan Demme : Dangerous Girlfriend (1986), The Mafiosi Bride (1988), The Silence of the Lambs (1991), Philadelphia (1993), Human Child (1998) and The Manchurian Candidate (2004 ). He also starred in three films directed by Danny DeVito : Matilda (1996), Kill Smoochy (2002) and The Apartment Schreck (2003).

Awards

In 1984 he received the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of the philosophical mechanic in Alex Cox's Repo Man .

Remarks

In Jack Nicholson's biography Jack Nicholson - the Great Seducer (Jack - The Great Seducer) Walter is referred to as a woman due to a translation error.
