Daniel James "Dan" Roebuck (born March 4, 1963 in Bethlehem , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor , director , screenwriter and producer .

Life

At the age of nine he made his first appearances in the local area of ​​his hometown, and at 13 he traveled as a clown with a traveling circus through several US states. At the age of 21 Roebuck went to Los Angeles, where he first appeared on the theater stage, until he also got his first television roles.

He eventually became known to a wider audience through the series Matlock . From 1993 to 1995 he played Cliff Lewis , assistant to the successful lawyer, played by Andy Griffith .
