content

As a child, the young Thad Beaumont decided to become a writer. However, he repeatedly suffers from severe headaches and seizures. During the operation in the hospital, the surgeons discover that the supposed tumor is a stunted twin that, for some unknown reason, began to grow and develop. Thad is freed from the "tumor". The parents bury the operated twin in the family grave.

Thad, now an adult, married and father of twins, teaches literature and writing and publishes non-fiction books with moderate success. But he makes the big money as a horror writer and creator of the fictional character Alexis Machine, who commits cruel murders in the most bloodthirsty way, under the pseudonym George Stark. One day, Beaumont is blackmailed by Fred Clawson, who wants to blow his writer pseudonym, with which Beaumont made millions. Beaumont and his wife decide not to allow themselves to be blackmailed, but to escape to the front and reveal the true identity of George Stark in a press conference.

But George Stark does not want to admit that: Having meanwhile become a physical being, Stark begins to brutally kill the people who have something to do with Beaumont, so that the suspicion first falls on Thad Beaumont and he is targeted by the police. Stark's revenge is to come to an end when Beaumont finishes the last novel, thus enabling Stark to transition into real life and killing the entire Beaumont family. Stark's revenge fails and Beaumont succeeds in killing Stark with the help of countless sparrows .
