Willa is a German short film by Helena Hufnagel from 2015 based on a short story of the same name by Stephen King , with Karoline Schuch in the lead role.

The film tells the story of a group of travelers who, after a train accident, get stranded in a station concourse in the middle of nowhere and wait for the replacement train. David discovers that his fiancée Willa has disappeared. He leaves the train station to look for her.

The short film was produced by Cocofilms in cooperation with the University of Television and Film Munich . The students acquired the rights to film the short story for the symbolic price of one dollar. This was done as part of Stephen King's "Dollar Baby" series.

The film contains a " frozen in time shot ".

The film was shown at the Oscar qualifying LA Shorts Fest and the Palm Springs International ShortFest . In Germany it was shown at the Landshut Short Film Festival and the Genrenale . The film screened at 45 international film festivals and won 8 awards.
