Fabian Oehl

Fabian Oehl (* 1989 in Ankum ) is a German actor .

Life

Fabian Oehl completed his acting studies from 2009 to 2013 at the “Drama Institute Hans Otto” of the University of Music and Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig . As part of his training, he was a member of the drama studio at the Neuen Theater Halle from 2011 to 2013 . He worked there a. a. with directors like Jörg Steinberg , Frieder Venus , Wolfgang Engel and Michael Schweighöfer . He played Cassio in Wolfgang Engel's production of Othello at the Neue Theater Halle.

From the 2013/14 season until the summer of 2016, Oehl was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Heidelberg Theater . Since then, he has continued to perform there regularly under a permanent guest contract. His roles at Theater Heidelberg included a. a. Cléante in Der Geizige (premiere: 2013/14 season), the hunter boy Robert in The Black Rider (director: Paul-Georg Dittrich , premiere: 2014/15 season), the leading role of Pablo in Der Steppenwolf (director: Bernadette Sonnenbichler , 2017 –2018) and Thorsten in Wir sind die neue (Direction: Christian Brey , 2016–2018).

In the 2016/17 season he took on the role of drum major in Woyzeck (director: Brit Bartkowiak ) in a new production , which he then embodied again in the 2017/18 season in the resumption of production from October 2017. In the 2018/19 season he played the role of Jonathan Harker in a new production of Dracula for the theater stage. In February 2019 he played Lysander in the Shakespeare comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Heidelberg Theater . In the 2019/20 season, Oehl will be at Theater Heidelberg u. a. on stage again as Jonathan Harker and in the Steppenwolf production.

In the summer of 2015 he was a guest with Cornelia Heyse and Jannek Petri as partners at the Lehnschulzenhofbühne Viesen in a three-person production of the Chekhov play Der Kirschgarten , directed by Fanny Staffa . In the 2017/18 season he was a guest at the Marburg Theater as a tin man in the musical Der Zauberer von Oz (director: Boris von Poser ), which was shown there as a Christmas production. In the 2018/19 season, alongside Alina Rank , Franziska Beyer and Robert Besta , he was Mortimer in a new production of the Schiller drama Maria Stuart in the Altes Schauspielhaus at the Stuttgart Theater .

In the short film Willa (2015), Oehl stood in front of the camera with Karoline Schuch . In the crime series Der Bozen-Krimi , Oehl embodied the rebellious, young pastor Severin in his first major television role in the 8th film in the series Mörderisches Schweigen (first broadcast: September 2019).

Fabian Oehl lives in Berlin .
