Mareile Blendl (born February 11, 1976 in Munich ) is a German actress . She is active in cinema and television as well as in the theater.

Life

Blendl completed her acting studies from 1996 to 2000 at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum . She took on her first theater role in 1998 at the theater there . In 1999 she performed at Johan Simons ' Hollandia Theater in Rotterdam . In the same year she was awarded the Max Reinhardt Solo Prize. From 2000 to 2002 Blendl belonged to the ensemble of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden and then until 2007 to the Berliner Ensemble . In 2001 she received the 3sat innovation award. From 2004 to 2007 she also trained as a singer with Jonathan Kinsler in Berlin . She sings mezzo-soprano . From 2008 to 2012 Blendl played at the Volkstheater in Munich and at Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin. 2012 followed roles at Theater Bonn and Theater Oberhausen before the actress returned to the Berliner Ensemble in 2014. In 2015 she played in the Rottstrasse 5 Theater in Bochum. In 2016 she can be seen at the State Theater in Nuremberg .

Blendl played her first television role in 2000 in the ARD film Hour of the Wolf . Appearances in the series Nikola , Alphateam , Großstadtrevier and SOKO Wismar followed by 2004 . In the same year Blendl played a supporting role in the comedy Two Men and a Baby and in 2006 she was seen in the RTL production Behind Bars . In 2009 she played Jutta von Sponheim in the historical film Vision - From the life of Hildegard von Bingen . She also worked in short films at the Munich University of Television and Film . In 2011 she was seen again on television with a role in SOKO 5113 , where she also starred in the series Notruf Hafenkante , Die Rosenheim-Cops and Heldt in the following years . She also had roles in various television films. In 2014, Blendl played in Astray Are Male . In 2015 she appeared in three TV films on ARD and WDR as well as in the series Die Chefin and Pensionnercops . In the literary adaptation The Diary of Anne Frank , which was filmed in spring 2015 and was released in cinemas on March 3, 2016, Blendl plays the wife of the greengrocer Hendrik van Hoeve, who supplied the Jews hidden in the Amsterdam Secret Annex. Mareile Blendl is also active as an author. On her personal blog she publishes an "irregular column" in which she reports on her life as an actress.

Her sister Annika Blendl is also an actress.
