Baby on board is a German comedy film directed by Bettina Schoeller Bouju from 2019 . It is the second film in the ARD series Die Drei von der Müllabfuhr with garbage collectors Uwe Ochsenknecht as Werner Träsch, Jörn Hentschel as Ralle Schieber and Daniel Rodic as Tarik Büyüktürk in the leading roles as well as Rainer Strecker , Barnaby Metschurat , Marlene Burow , Lola Liefers and Adelheid Kleineidam in leading roles.

The German premiere of the film took place on April 5, 2019 on the ARD slot "Endlich Freitag im Erste".

During their day tour, the garbage collectors Werner Träsch, Tarik Büyüktürk and Ralle Schieber noticed the smell of fire in an apartment and took a look. They meet the very young Marie Thieme and her sister Nele as well as a baby. Nele had wanted to dry shoes in the oven. At the end of the shift, the men find a pram in their depot with the baby that Werner, Tarik and Ralle saw with Marie and Nele Thieme in the morning. You drive to the apartment in question with the stroller, but do not meet anyone there. Since Werner has an appointment to go to the cinema with Gabi from the snack bar, his two colleagues have to look after the child. But it is so late that it is too late to go to the cinema. Shortly after him, Tarik and Ralle arrive with their baby, who is being swaddled by Werner. Another attempt some time later to meet someone with the Thiemes fails again. Werner wants to call in the police, but Tarik and Ralle want to take care of the little one themselves.

When 16-year-old Marie comes home in the evening, Lea, her little daughter, has disappeared. Marie lives with her younger sister, seven-year-old Nele, and her father Frank, who is rarely at home as a taxi driver. Nele tells her that she took Lea to the garbage collectors because Marie has not had any time for her at all since Lea was there. Marie runs to the depot of the Berlin garbage disposal, but is not taken seriously by a drunk porter. Her father arrives a little later and can at least get the doorman to tell him when the first tour of the garbage collectors starts early in the morning.

Since Dorn has changed the daily route for the next day, the plan of the three men to quickly deliver the baby to the Thiemes during their tour in the morning fails. And so you can see a garbage truck driving through Berlin with a baby on board. Of course, this is also reported to the police, who also appear promptly. Since Werner and his joy know that Marie could have great difficulties with the youth welfare office, they hesitate to reveal the true facts. But it happens as it has to, Ms. Meysel, a social worker, steps in and causes excitement on all sides.

In this episode, Daniel Rodic embodies the Turkish-born garbage man Tarik Büyüktürk for the second and last time. He decided to accept the offer to play the nurse Kiran Petrescu in the ARD hospital series In all friendship - The nurses . The actor Aram Arami was chosen as his successor .

criticism

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm pointed with the thumbs up, awarded two points for humor and one of three possible points for action and suspense and stated: "The comedy entertains with a lively tone, and a sweet baby is also there." : "The three have a lot of heart and soul".
