Dörte muss weg is a German comedy film by Edzard Onneken from 2019 . It is the pilot of the ARD series Die Drei von der Müllabfuhr with garbage collectors Uwe Ochsenknecht as Werner Träsch, Jörn Hentschel as Ralle Schieber and Daniel Rodic as Tarik Büyüktürk in the leading roles as well as Inez Bjørg David and Rainer Strecker , Adelheid Kleineidam , Frank Kessler , Laura Louisa Garde and Philippe Brenninkmeyer in leading roles.

Doris Zander, the producer, said: “'The three of the garbage disposal', that's heart & snout & humor.” “While the sworn garbage collectors tidy up Berlin's streets and backyards, they encounter neighborhood stories and solve many problems Needs of the people. "

The German premiere of the film took place on March 29, 2019 on the ARD slot "Endlich Freitag im Erste".

action

Werner Träsch, Ralle Schieber and Tarik Büyüktürk work for the Berlin garbage disposal and like their job. Werner leads the troop and is called "Captain" by everyone. He has been with us for a long time, has leadership qualities and is highly valued by his colleagues. He also opens his mouth when something doesn't suit him. Rüdiger Dorn, the men's superior who made it to the executive floor as a former garbage man, often clashes with Träsch. Werner has the urn of his wife, who died two years ago in an accident, to the chagrin of his daughter Annika at home.

The men have not yet suspected that Dorn is toying with modernization measures and wants to have a garbage robot, the PZT04-5000, tested. The programmer Dr. Hanna Keller plays an essential role in this, she is commissioned to statistically record the efficiency of the garbage collectors. And she chose Werner, Ralle and Tarik's vehicle to test the garbage robot, which angered Werner in particular. Little by little the men realize what this could mean for them and the fear for their jobs is rampant. The garbage robot they christened “Dörte” will replace them in the not too distant future. This causes unrest among the workforce.

Another problem arises for Werner, Ralle and Tarik when the construction work on the building that houses their favorite snack bar “Bei Gabi”, where they usually spend their lunch break, is so protracted that the operator Gabi fears that this could cost them their existence. In keeping with their mentality, the men would of course like to help Gabi Hertz. When the water was turned off for her, she told Werner that she could only close the shop now. The men then organize a huge tank of fresh water.

When Ralle, a computer-savvy mathematician, paralyzed the garbage robot with a virus he programmed with Tarik's help, it was a less than good idea. The robot then attacks a group of children and slightly injures Werner's granddaughter Pauli before Werner can stop him with a blow with a shovel. Although he did not know about it, he wants to take full responsibility when one wants to fire Ralle and Tarik. Arnon van der Heijden, who was brought in by the management, then recommended that the two men be dismissed, but Werner was dismissed without notice. Out of solidarity, all the garbage collectors in the Charlottenburg district lay down their work. Werner then acts on his colleagues and says that they have a responsibility, because the people out there rely on them. At his behest, the garbage collectors resume their work, but explain to Dorn who to thank. The “Dörte” project died once. Hanna Keller explains to the men that the city of Potsdam wants the super robot "Dirty One" project and that they will continue there.

Werner has finally made it up to say goodbye, throws away his wife's clothes and gives her an appropriate final resting place in a cemetery with his daughter and granddaughter.

Interviews with the main actors, statement from the producer

Questions to Uwe Ochsenknecht

When asked what he liked about his role Werner and whether his view of this profession had changed, Ochsenknecht replied that Werner was down-to-earth and saw it as his job to keep the city clean and that he had a heart for people and animals . However, he can handle his own feelings less well, especially those about his girlfriend Gabi. He himself has always had respect for people in the service industry and especially those who would also dispose of his dirt. Everyone he met while filming was terribly nice and funny and quite happy with their job. When asked how he feels about “technical bells and whistles”, as Werner calls it, the actor said that automation in professions is of course a big problem. That won't change either, on the contrary. That is very sad. Thank God there are still some areas in which humans are irreplaceable. Yet!

Questions to Daniel Rodic

When asked why Tarik, Werner and Ralle would complement each other so well, Rodic replied because each of them has a different character. Tarik is the one who immediately addresses the things that are on his mind, because he cannot get over a bad mood, harmony is very important to him. Werner is the one with the longest professional experience, but he also needs help with certain things from time to time. Ralle is the thinker who can always come up with a solution even in situations that seem hopeless. Together they are the perfect team. The special thing that he took away from his actual job at the Berlin city cleaning service is that he experienced first hand what it means to tackle properly. From his point of view, the special thing about the series is that the stories of the three garbage collectors are told honestly and are not ironed out. He is very confident that viewers, young and old, will enjoy the films.

Questions to Jörn Hentschel

Jörn Hentschel answered the question how he would describe Ralle's character and what type of guy he was as follows: “Ralle may not know yet, but basically he's a feminist. He's an easy going guy. He's smart and you can rely on him. As for his 'contact method' with women, he could sometimes learn something from Tarik. But everyone is different. Ralle will find its way there. "

Statement by Doris Zander

The producer Doris Zander said that the Berlin garbage disposal had made her smile with her unbeatable sayings for many years. On posters with “We kehr for you”, with vehicles as “garbage talents” to garbage cans with “Bucket loves you”. And the colleagues are extremely polite and always in a good mood. Since lawyers, doctors and commissioners have already been discussed in many films, she had the idea of fictionalising this milieu. After all, we all have to do with rubbish, poor or rich, and it's great that our cities are so clean.

criticism

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm pointed their thumbs up, gave two out of three possible points for humor and one for suspense, spoke of an “amusing big city fairy tale” and came to the conclusion: “With humor and heart: done clean! ".

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv gave the film 4½ out of 6 possible stars and said: “Finally an entertainment film series in which help is provided differently than in the television clinics, practices and advice centers: not professionally, but in passing - or better: in passing . In 'Die Drei von der Müllabfuhr' […] there are robust guys in orange overalls at work who drive through Berlin with their eyes open. The workplace as a place of community, the Kiez as a biotope for charity, morality and common sense, plus three heroes as a kind of interpersonal fire brigade: all of this exudes more than just a touch of social romanticism - and the whole thing could easily have become naive and kitschy can. "It is here" the successful mixture of everyday topics and a casual narrative style that makes the music ". The "heart" is "the harmonious cast around the draft horse Ochsenknecht". [...] "Sequels" are "welcome", wrote the critic in conclusion.

Frank Jürgens rated the film, which he gave four out of six possible stars, for the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung and was of the opinion that the ARD had succeeded in making this film “a worthwhile entry into the series”. “Even if the characters initially seem a bit one-dimensional or even clichéd”, you quickly notice “that something is developing”. "Behind every figure there are deeper stories and secrets that arouse curiosity." For example, with Ralle, "who once had to vacate a high post as a pawn victim because of the delay crisis at the railroad". “The sympathetic new series is rounded off by little neighborhood stories along the way. No TV rubbish! "

Tilmann P. Gangloff looked at the film on the internet portal evangelisch.de and stated: “'Dörte muss weg' deals with a topic that will affect many people in the near future: Digitization and automation will help the economy to find expensive jobs to save; and that's surprisingly what the title character stands for. ”The“ cast of the main role with Uwe Ochsenknecht ”also promises“ an equally amusing and serous handling of the subject, even if the joke name of the main character, Werner Träsch (the English word trash means garbage) is different suggests ". The “greatest strength of the script” lies “in the skillful combination of class struggle and the human level”. With Edzard Onneken this story is "in good hands"; the director has "often shown how well he knows how to pack challenging topics in an entertaining way". His “work with the actors” is “excellent anyway, especially since the episode roles are also worth seeing”, above all “Inez Björg David as the developer of 'Dirty One'”. Philippe Brenninkmeyer as a management consultant is similarly “well and appropriately staffed”. This is "a special film, not least as an homage to those who clean up the waste of the affluent society". [...] The “composer duo Biber Gullatz and Andreas Schäfer, who have proven themselves in many films and who have found exactly the right music here too, have a large part in the pleasure”.
