Survival of the Dead (to German : Survival of the Dead ) is an American horror film by George A. Romero from the year 2009. It is the sixth to Romero's zombie movie. The content is loosely linked to Diary of the Dead .

A group of survivors rescues themselves on a supposedly safe island. There, however, she gets caught up in an old family quarrel in which those involved decimate one another or are killed by zombies.
criticism
“Once again, director George A. Romero explores the darker sides of society, reflecting on the relationship to violence based on Westerns. Drastic Gore elements staged with grim humor break into the group conflicts. Visually and successfully in the figure drawing, the film drags along a little heavily dramaturgically. "
