Julian Richings
Julian Richings (born September 8, 1955 in Oxford , England , Great Britain ) is a British- Canadian actor who mainly works in Canadian film and television productions.
Life
Richings studied drama at the University of Exeter and then toured North America with a British stage company. In 1984 he moved from England to Toronto , Canada, where he became the regular cast of the television series War of the Worlds in the second season . In the dramatic agent series Nikita he can be seen in two episodes as the villain Errol Sparks . He also played the cannibal Three Finger in the horror series Wrong Turn . He also embodied the aging punk rock legend Bucky Haigh in the film Hard Core Logo and had a brief appearance in the globally successful science fiction horror film Cube by Vincenzo Natali . For the role of Bellanger in the movie The Empire and the Glory , he was nominated for the Genie Award in 2002 for best supporting actor .
The German public is mainly due to the role of the nearly blind security guard Richings Otto in the miniseries Kingdom Hospital by Stephen King known. He also voiced the dog Blondie in the series.
Furthermore, Richings starred alongside Annette Bening in the comedy film Being Julia and had a brief appearance in the 2006 science fiction film X-Men: The Last Stand .
Richings lives in Toronto with his wife and two children and is a British and Canadian citizen.
