action

Trevor Bowman and his girlfriend Nina live in a small town in Colorado . One day you see numerous military vehicles. It turns out that a mysterious disease has broken out in the city.

Trevor's sister Sarah Bowman, a reservist , is called to active duty, reporting to Captain Rhodes. Sarah and another soldier find mutilated bodies. The bodies are taken to the local hospital, where they wake up as zombies . Captain Rhodes becomes infected and bites one of his soldiers, Bud Crain. The turned into a zombie, however, does not attack people, which Sarah explains by the fact that he was a vegetarian .

Sarah and a few other survivors flee into a bunker. Crain and some people are killed by the zombies. Sarah, Trevor and Nina destroy the zombies by causing a gas explosion.

Reviews

Brian Orndorf wrote on dvdtalk.com that the film had eliminated the reservations he had about Zombie 2 with its “listless” direction and the “uninspired” script. Steve Miner lost all his credibility as a director by using a number of absurd fashionable camera angles and editing methods. The special effects are "shabby"; the film seems cheap.

backgrounds

The film was shot in Sofia and Pravetz ( Bulgaria ). Its production amounted to an estimated 18 million US dollars . The film was released directly on video: April 8, 2008 in the United States and May 15, 2008 in Germany.

In George Romero's original Day of the Dead , the plague broke out a long time ago and the world is inhabited by the undead. The remake takes place before the "apocalypse". So the remake only has the same background and can be classified chronologically, for example, at Night of the Living Dead .

On February 7, 2012, the film was first released in 3-D in the United States on Blu-Ray.
