Warlock - Satan's son is an American fantasy - thriller from the year 1989 . The film opened in German cinemas on September 21, 1989.

action

In 1689. Four people, including three judges , are marching the streets of Boston . In prison, the judges enter the cell in which the warlock Warlock is chained. The witch hunter Giles Redferne takes action against a wizard (English: "Warlock") to bring him to trial . As they leave the prison, a storm rises over the prison tower and the pentagram engraved on the wooden door disappears. The cyclone helps the warlock to escape, Redferne jumps after him and both end up in 20th century California.

The warlock goes in search of the three parts of the Grand Grimoire , which when put together break open the gate of hell. He seeks out a seer because he needs Satan's instructions to find the seals. As the seer is about to summon the spirit Samiel, they suddenly experience strange convulsions. When she lifts her head from the table top, a completely different face can be seen. “Let my eyes guide you”, by which the eyes of the seer are meant, which are then removed from the Warlock and used as a compass .

Redferne uses a tracking device that looks like a compass to track down the warlock. The Warlock gets its first seal with ease. He also steals a bracelet from Kassandra and places a curse on her that is said to make her age 20 years every day. Before the warlock can continue its mission, it needs fat from an unbaptized human, which gives it the ability to fly. The warlock finds the second seal on a farm. Kassandra manages to get her amulet back, the curse is lifted and she becomes young again. She has reached her goal and now she is thinking of getting out, but Redferne makes it clear to her that - as soon as the sorcerer gets all three seals together - the devil will gain power over everything and nothing will be the same as before.

She decides to continue to support Redferne. The two travel by plane to Boston, where the witch hunter wants to find the last seal. In the next scene a priest is at home with his pregnant wife. Suddenly the apartment shakes, the door falls off its hinges. The warlock wants the same information that Redferne got. He pulls the pastor's wife to him, the pastor intervenes, but is forced by the Warlock to sit down. Warlock senses the still unborn minister and threatens to harm him, whereupon he gets what he wants.

The next scene takes place in a cemetery. It is now late in the evening, Redferne and his companion are looking for a tombstone on which a pentagram is engraved. Kassandra finds the tombstone and they discover that it has Redferne's name. Shocked, Redferne looks aside while Kassandra opens the removed coffin, because the last seal is hidden in it, held by the brittle fingers of Redferne's corpse.

The warlock rushes over and fights for the seal of Redferne. Now he puts half of the pages in both of his hands. They twirl in the air to be put together into a book in the right order.

It falls to the ground, the earth trembles and letters appear on the seal book. "I know you, I know your name," the warlock calls out to God in heaven. Should he call out the true name of God backwards, his mission will be fulfilled. The creation is being reversed and the devil comes to power. But the warlock has forgotten Kassandra, whom he threw into the nearby bay shortly before. She stalks from behind and uses two of her insulin syringes to squeeze salt water down the warlock's throat. The warlock then catches fire.

To make sure that the three seals never fall into the wrong hands again, Kassandra decides to bury them in the vast salt desert . The last camera shot shows her driving away in the salt desert.
