Christa Campbell (born December 7, 1972 in Oakland , California ) is an American actress and film producer .

life and career

Campbell made his debut in the erotic film Erotic Landscapes from 1994 and appeared in several other adult films in the years that followed. In the television film DOA (1999) she starred alongside Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy , who also wrote the script; Guest directed the film. In the thriller The Drone Virus (2004) and in the science fiction horror film Mansquito (2005) she played major roles. The horror comedy 2001 Maniacs (2005), in which she appeared alongside Robert Englund , was nominated for a Saturn Award in 2007.

In Neil LaBute's thriller The Wicker Man (2006) , Campbell played one of the bigger roles alongside Nicolas Cage , Ellen Burstyn and Leelee Sobieski ; She also took on larger roles in the horror film Revamped (2007) and in the action comedy Hallows Point (2007). In the horror film Day of the Dead (2008) she starred alongside Mena Suvari , Michael Welch , AnnaLynne McCord and Ving Rhames .

In 2011, she founded the independent film label Campbell-Grobman Films together with fellow actress Lati Grobman . The first film she and the label produced was Texas Chainsaw 3D .

In 2012 she played the female lead in the horror film Spider City . In July 2013, she announced another remake of the classic horror film Day of the Dead . The film was released in 2018 with the title Day of the Dead: Bloodline .
