2001 Maniacs 2 - Dinner is served is an American horror comedy by Tim Sullivan from the year 2010 and is the sequel to the film 2001 Maniacs from the year of 2005.

At the beginning of the film, Mayor Buckman talks about the Yankees massacre of the southerners in Pleasant Valley in 1864. The souls of the residents will not find peace until 2001 when Northerners died.
Every year there is a festival in Pleasant Valley, at which all vehicles are guided into the village via a diversion sign. The arriving Yankees will then be killed. This year the sheriff no longer wants to support the hustle and bustle as he can no longer cover up the annual murders. Without further ado he is murdered by the pack. Since no other guests turn up, the southerners drive north and set up a small camp there.
A short time later a film crew arrives from the north. The weird villagers shake their heads. The film company shoots various scenes with them. Gradually, the southerners begin to kill and dismember the Yankees one by one. As it turns out, they are cannibals who also eat their victims.
Two women finally escape. While the two are arguing, they are run over by one of the southerners.

“With the 2005 remake of Herschell Gordon Lewis' trash classic '2001 Maniacs' produced in 1964, director Tim Sullivan (' Driftwood ') landed a humorous and bloody horror slasher. Five years later, the bloody slaughter from Pleasant Valley is carried north, where not only a lot of blood flows, but breasts and sex can also be seen in the most varied of variations. Whether you find this mix of weird and stupid humor, garish fake blood frenzy and constant sex orgies entertaining, remains a matter of taste. Great intellectual abilities are in any case not in demand when looking at '2001 Maniacs 2 - It's done' and also rather detrimental to a possible pleasure. Instead, the actors clearly enjoy their roles and indulge in their erotic and bloody games with relish. Since the film only works on an optical and acoustic level, the all too cheap look is a bit annoying in the long run, but if you are into such trash, you will get your money's worth here. Everyone else should keep their hands off this work if possible. "
