Tony Pierce-Roberts

Tony Pierce-Roberts (born December 24, 1944 in Birkenhead , Merseyside ) is a British cameraman.

biography

Tony Pierce-Roberts was born on December 24th, 1944 in Birkenhead (England). When he was 11 years old, his family immigrated to Rhodesia . There he later joined the African Film Unit . When he returned to Great Britain in 1966, he initially worked for the BBC in London as a camera assistant. In 1979 camerawork began in larger film productions. Films like James Ivory's Room with a View gave him a good reputation that led to his signing to Hollywood , where he continued to work with Ivory and have been involved in successful films like Unveiling , The Client and Underworld .
