The most successful in this category was the Australian cameraman Christopher Doyle , who has won the award three times so far. The film critics association was able to present the Oscar winner 10 times in advance, most recently in 2018 with the victory of the Mexican Alfonso Cuarón ( Roma ). In 2009, Christian Berger ( The White Ribbon - A German Children's Story ) was the first cameraman from German-speaking countries to enter the list of winners. In 2017, Rachel Morrison ( Mudbound ) was the first camerawoman to be honored.
