David Watkin

David Watkin (born March 23, 1925 in Margate , Kent , England , † February 19, 2008 in Brighton ) was a British cameraman . Watkin has been behind the camera since 1956 and filmed over 60 well-known films by 2000. In 1964 he was responsible for the title sequence for the James Bond film Goldfinger .

Awards

In addition to many international awards, including nine BAFTA Award nominations (one of which was an award), Watkin won the Oscar in the Best Camera category for his work in Out of Africa at the 1986 Academy Awards .
