The first soccer South Asian Championship (officially South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation Tournament 1993 ; short SAARC-Cup 1993 ) took place from July 9 to 23, 1993 in Lahore ( Pakistan ). Four South Asian nations took part in the tournament. In addition, a Pakistani junior team played under the name “Pakistan White”, but its results were not counted. The record champions India became the first South Asian champions .

The tournament winner was determined in a group stage.
