The 2018 South Asian Football Championship (officially the SAFF Championship 2018 ) was the twelfth edition of the tournament and took place in Bangladesh from September 4 to 15, 2018 . The tournament was originally supposed to take place in December 2017 and January 2018, but was postponed at India's request. Bangladesh hosted the competition for the third time after 2003 and 2009 .
Seven teams from the South Asian region competed for the title of South Asian champion.
