The Bangladeshi national soccer team is the national team of the South Asian state of Bangladesh .
Bangladesh has not yet managed to qualify for a World Cup finals. For the 1980 Asian Cup , Bangladesh was able to qualify, but finished the preliminary round without winning points from bottom of the table.
World championships
Opponents in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup were Australia , Jordan , Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the second round . Even before the third to last game, Bangladesh had no chance of qualifying for the World Cup after Australia beat Kyrgyzstan on November 12, 2015.
