The South Yemeni national soccer team was the national soccer team of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen (South Yemen). It existed from 1965 to 1989. After South Yemen was united with North Yemen to form today's state of Yemen , the national team was integrated into the Yemeni national soccer team .

The South Yemeni team took part in the 1976 Asian Cup, but lost 8-0 to Iran and 1-0 to Iraq . The team could not qualify for a world championship.
