The Kyrgyz national football team is the national team of the Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan . Kyrgyzstan has not yet managed to qualify for a soccer World Cup . After the collapse of the Soviet Union , the first international match took place against Kazakhstan in 1992 . In the Asian Cup in 2019 the team took part for the first time.

In qualifying for the 2018 World Cup , the team met Australia , Bangladesh , Jordan and Tajikistan in the second round and finished in 3rd place.
