Franziska Troegner (born July 18, 1954 in Berlin ) is a German actress .

Life

The daughter of the actor, cabaret artist and director Werner Troegner (1925–1993) and the singer Elfriede Troegner (1929–1997) was born in Berlin-Mitte. She made her debut in 1959 at the Berlin Metropol-Theater , from 1969 she was part of the youth studio of the Berlin cabaret Die Distel . After graduating from high school in 1973, he trained as an actor with Doris Thalmer at the Berliner Ensemble in Berlin. From 1976 she was a member of the Berliner Ensemble for a total of 18 years , where she played leading roles in Brecht plays such as Mother Courage and Her Children (Stumme Kattrin), Threepenny Opera (Polly Peachum) and The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Grusche Vachnaze). In 1981 the Berliner Zeitung awarded her the Critics' Prize.

Since 1976 Troegner has played in numerous television and cinema productions, for example she took on the role of Anna Magdalena Bach in the 4-part GDR television production Johann Sebastian Bach about the life of Johann Sebastian Bach, which was broadcast in 1985 . But Troegner also played in films such as An Angel in a Taxi , Minna von Barnhelm , Anna and the Family Ghost and The Geese von Bützow . She also worked in numerous radio play productions (approx. 500). In 1989 she received the GDR Art Prize .

After she had ended her engagement with the Berliner Ensemble in 1993, she worked as a freelancer, mainly for television. There she was a long-time sketch partner of Diether Krebs and Dieter Hallervorden . She became known to a wide audience in the role of sister Gertrud in the ZDF series Der Landarzt . In 1997 Troegner played the role of Viktoria Voss in the MDR children's series Mama is Impossible as the first actress . Her role was then played by Angelika Milster . In 2001 Troegner was nominated for the German Film Prize.

In 2005 Troegner starred in the Hollywood film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory . As a voice actress in the Agatha Christie television adaptations, Miss Marple : The Secret of the Goldmine, Anette Badland as Glady's maid and in Miss Marple: A Murder Is Announced Liz Crowther as Myrna's waitress.

Since 2000 she has held an annual chanson / interpretation workshop at the Rostock University of Music and Theater. In 2015, 2017 and 2019 she was a member of the jury for the preselection / final round for the National Singing Competition in Berlin. In 2016 she took part in the music workshop week at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts and a master class in chanson / interpretation at the Charlottenburg Drama School.

Her autobiography Fürs Schubfach zu dick was published in August 2009 and in October 2018 by Eulenspiegelverlag Permanently trendresistent.

Since 2012 she has been moderating the series of events on a voluntary basis in Berlin: Visiting Franziska Troegner: ... , she also gives guest performances with solo programs.

Troegner lives in the Treptow-Köpenick district.
