Eberhard Prüter
Eberhard Prüter (born January 21, 1945 in Mägdesprung ; † October 28, 2014 in Berlin ) was a German actor and voice actor .
Life
Eberhard Prüter worked several times as a voice actor and actor on GDR television from the early 1970s to 1980. Then he moved to West Berlin, where he continued his work. He was seen, for example, in the Dieter Hallervorden film Didi - The Expert as Policeman Grunsky or in the Didi show , but was best known for his numerous dubbing works. He spoke the penguin butler James in the cartoon series Tabaluga , the grandfather in Annabelle and the flying reindeer and the Count of Falkenstein in the Bibi and Tina radio play series, but also became very famous for his German dubbing of Squidward Tentacle in SpongeBob SquarePants . He also lent his voice to Ian McKellen , Vincent Schiavelli , Rowan Atkinson , Tom Braidwood , Miguel Ferrer , Walter Koenig , David McCallum and William Shatner, among others .
He took over death at the first Berliner Jedermann Festival in 1987 and continued to play this role in the following two years.
Eberhard Prüter died on October 28, 2014 at the age of 69.
