The Didi Show was a ten-part comedy series from 1989 by and with comedian and cabaret artist Dieter Hallervorden , which was produced for ZDF .

The concept of the show was strongly based on the comedy series " Nonstop Nonsens " from the 1970s, which was also realized with the help of Hallervorden . As in this series, the Didi show also had a feature film plot for each episode, divided into several chapters, in which Hallervorden appears as the main actor. The story was always different (including the hunt for a fly, fetching cigarettes or the way to the altar), Hallervorden was always the tragic hero whose approach left chaos and destruction. Between the chapters, played skits, humorous monologues by Hallervorden and favorite jokes told by celebrities were recorded. In four of the ten episodes, politicians appeared as VIPs who were allowed to tell a joke - twice Hans-Dietrich Genscher and twice Norbert Blüm .

In addition to Hallervorden, his ex-wife Rotraud Schindler , Frank Zander , Eberhard Prüter , Wolfgang Bahro , the actors and voice actors Gerd Duwner and Manfred Lehmann, as well as Hallervordens colleagues from the cabaret “ Die Wühlmäuse ” will be involved. While most of the actors played changing roles, Hallervorden, Zander and Duwner also had fixed parts that formed the red thread through all ten episodes. Hallervorden mimes himself as the presenter who outdid Frank Zander with unfair means during the casting. Zander then sabotages Hallervorder's announcements with unfair tricks in every episode.

The series was broadcast by ZDF and repeated there in the early 1990s. The series was repeated again in 2007 and 2010 on Super RTL , and in 2012 on ZDFneo .
