After the successful entrepreneur Connor Hill made the wrong number, apparently by chance, a first conversation with Marti Gerard (Tori Spelling) takes place. Marti quickly witnesses a murder that was committed on Connor Hill's wife. Since Connor Hill faces the death penalty as a suspect, Marti testifies as a witness for him in court. But in the meantime, a love affair has already developed between the two.
