Jason Maxwell Brooks (born May 10, 1966 in Colorado Springs , Colorado ) is an American actor .

Life

Brooks spent most of his childhood in Los Angeles . He later studied business administration at the University of Arizona and San Diego University. At the age of 21, he and a friend founded "Island Yoghurt", a successful company that produces non-fat yoghurt. Since he found business administration rather uncreative, he also took acting courses on the side. He soon found an agent who should get his career going.

The caster of the US series Baywatch were impressed auditioned as Brooks in 1993 for a guest starring role. To your regret, Brooks got the role of Peter Blake in the soap Zeit der Sehnsucht , which is particularly well known in the USA, shortly before filming began . He stayed in the shady role of Peter Blake until 1998. He was voted one of the “Sexiest Men on Television” by the “Soap Opera Digest” magazine. In the following years he starred in primetime series such as Pretender , Friends , Charmed , CSI: NY and Boston Legal . He has also appeared in a number of films such as Alibi , Carol and the Christmas Ghosts or The Darwin Conspiracy .

In 1999 Brooks got the chance to join Baywatch for the second time , this time not just as a guest, but as the main character. The role of Sean Monroe, director of a lifeguard training center in Hawaii , he played for two seasons until Baywatch was discontinued.

Jason Brooks has been married since February 1994 and has a son who was born in March 1999.
