action
Fish and wildlife expert Michael moves to a remote and quiet small town in Michigan with his wife Cate and children Nicole and Kyle . The mayor of the city, Bruce Akerman, has commissioned him to address the problem of the rapidly reproducing lampreys, which have already eaten the entire fish population. The lampreys seem to develop intelligence and are now attacking humans too. After the fish have penetrated the sewage system and the drinking water supply, they can hardly be stopped. While the residents are desperately struggling to survive, Michael decides to neutralize the population's breeding ground with electric shocks from the high-voltage network.
Reviews
The Asylum repeatedly features TV stars of the 1990s in its trash films . In Germany there are only reviews of the film on internet portals. Filmchecker described the film as “partly not bloodless splatter trash regardless of losses. When ex-Beverly Hills 90210 star Shannen Doherty meets the Asylum waste press, nothing good can come around ”. The Asylum produced this film for the first time not for the American science fiction channel Syfy , but for the animal channel Animal Planet. It was probably the intention of the station to increase the audience ratings, since the film was broadcast in advance of documentaries about blood-sucking animals.
