Mystic Knights - The Legend of Tir Na Nog is an American-Irish fantasy series. It was produced by Saban Entertainment in 1998. The story is based in part on Irish mythology .

action

Queen Maeve of Temra wants to conquer Kells, the kingdom she comes from. For this she summons the evil fairy master Mider, with whose help she can summon creatures. Conchobar, King of Kells, learns of Maeve's plan and sends the druid's apprentice Rohan and his friend Angus to look for the legendary warrior Draganta. They are accompanied by Princess Deirdre, the king's daughter, and Ivar, prince of another kingdom.

The four enter the world of Tir Na Nóg, where they visit its king, Fin Varra. After a few tests, he gives them mystical weapons that give them the powers of the elements fire, air, earth and water. With this power they now fight as mystical knights against Maeve, and they are always accompanied by the little fairy Aideen. Later, the knight Garrett, who has received the power of the forest, joins them. He is initially controlled by Maeve, but a short time later he is freed by the other mystical knights. At the end of the series, Maeve is defeated and banished. Her position is taken by the sorceress Nemain , who ruled before Maeve Temra and is now striving back to power.
