Lisa Dwan

Lisa Dwan (born 1978 in Coosan, Athlone , Co. Westmeath ) is an Irish actress .

Life

Dwan originally wanted to be a ballet dancer and dropped out of school at the age of 14 after winning a scholarship to a ballet school in Leeds .

In her first film, Oliver Twist from 1997, she played the role of Agnes on the side of Elijah Wood and Richard Dreyfuss .

Dwan's first series role was as Princess Deirdre in the fantasy series Mystic Knights . In 2004 she played the role of Orla in the Irish series The Big Bow Wow in five episodes . From 2006 to 2007 she took on the role of Zoe Burke in 21 episodes of the soap opera Fair City and in 2008 she appeared in the eight-part British series Rock Rivals .

From July 15 to August 7, 2005 she took on the leading role for the first time in Samuel Beckett's Not I at the Battersea Arts Center in London . Since then she has been speaking the monologue in performances together with the Beckett pieces Footfalls (steps) and Rockaby .
