Schlachthof is a cabaret series by Bayerischer Rundfunk that has been broadcast since March 2013 as a follow-up to Ottis Schlachthof . The moderators are Michael Altinger and Christian Springer . Schlachthof is usually shown once a month on Thursday evening at 9 p.m. on BR television .

concept

After 17 years, the program Ottis Schlachthof was stopped in November 2012 mainly because of health problems of the presenter and namesake Ottfried Fischer . Renaming resulted in the follow-up show Schlachthof , in which, as in the previous format, mainly Bavarian cabaret artists initially perform solo and then discuss current political or social issues with the moderators. The tavern in the slaughterhouse in Munich also serves as a backdrop , but the spectator area and the regulars' table have been modernized. Ottfried Fischer was present in the audience at the premiere broadcast on March 21, 2013. In contrast to the previous program, Schlachthof is broadcast live on BR television every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. In addition, the two hosts Michael Altinger and Christian Springer are also on stage in the show, both with solo appearances and with scenes together. In return, only three guests are invited to each broadcast.
