Andreas Rüttenauer (born January 19, 1968 in Munich ) is a German journalist . He was editor-in-chief of the taz for a short time .

Life

Andreas Rüttenauer started studying Slavic Studies and then worked as a cabaret artist on cabaret stages. Later he wanted to become a teacher and then learned the journalistic trade in a district editorial office of the Süddeutsche Zeitung . Rüttenauer has been with taz since 2001 and has been an editor in the sports department since 2006. From 2008 to 2009 he was a member of the editorial board of the taz and was involved in the drafting of the current editorial statute. In addition, Andreas Rüttenauer works as a non-fiction journalist and editor. Andreas Rüttenauer is a great-grandson of the writer Benno Rüttenauer and a grandson of the educationalist Isabella Rüttenauer .

In order to draw attention to grievances in the German Football Association (DFB) , the sports journalist Rüttenauer ran (unsuccessfully) for the chairmanship of the DFB in 2012.

taz editor-in-chief

Since April 1, 2014, Andreas Rüttenauer has been editor-in-chief of taz on an equal footing with Ines Pohl . After Ines Pohl's departure in July 2015, he headed the editorial department until September 14, 2015. On September 15, 2015, Georg Löwisch took over the sole editor-in-chief. Andreas Rüttenauer will stay with the taz as an author and head the new media and ideas workshop to be set up in the taz.

cabaret artist

Until 1997, Andreas Rüttenauer performed in the cabaret Fernrohr founded in 1983 by Christian Springer and Helmut Schleich . The three are among the co-founders of the Munich cabaret young talent festival Kabarett Kaktus .
