Claus Steigenberger
Claus Steigenberger (* 1958 in Wolfratshausen , Upper Bavaria ) is a German actor , cabaret artist , director and author .
Steigenberger grew up in Beuerberg in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district . He attended the St. Matthias Catholic Seminary in the Wolfratshausen district of Waldram, where he graduated from high school. He studied theater studies (with a focus on folk theater ) and education in Munich .
In the spring of 1983 he founded the cabaret group “Narrenschaukel” together with the former Waldram seminarians Thomas Gania, Christoph Abeck, Peter Haustein and Matthias Röttig, with whom he has performed on various cabaret stages in Bavaria for over 20 years. In August 1991 he and Röttig conceived and designed the new cabaret “Ambush” on the outskirts of Geretsried -Gelting. He was a founding member of the "Ambush Culture Association". The stage established itself as a performance location for well-known cabaret artists; u. a. came Helmut Schleich , Christian Springer , Gerhard Polt , Josef Hader , Sigi Zimmigart , Maria Peschek , theBiermösl Blosn and the American singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt in "ambush". The last program of the cabaret group “Narrenschaukel”, which was titled Im Schatten des Bieres , was played in November 2008 in the Fraunhofer Theater in Munich and most recently in early 2009 on the cabaret “Ambush” in Gelting. Steigenberger was awarded the Wolfratshausen Culture Prize for his work as a cabaret artist.
Steigenberger came to acting through his theater studies; later the direction followed. In the BR -Sitcom Spezlwirtschaft he was a police officer Fritz Schachtlinger in the main cast ; In the cabaret show SchleichFernsehen he was Uli Hoeneß's probation officer . Several times he was seen in supporting roles in the television series The Comedy Nobility. He played the Munich criminal inspector Georg Hoheneder in Hummel im Himmel (2012), the theater director Ernst Rohleder in A Mordsgschicht (2013) and the coffin carpenter and husband Heinrich Richter in Paula's last will (2015). His comedy nobility partners were u. a. Corinna Binzer , Heide Ackermann , Matthias Ransberger and Saskia Vester .
Steigenberger also works as a language coach and speech trainer for the BR series Dahoam is Dahoam . In the series he also took on the supporting role of the "nasty" farmer Gschwendtner.
As an author, Steigenberger wrote texts for cabaret artists such as Christian Springer, Martina Ottmann and Rainer Berauer ("Giesinger Sautreiber"). Steigenberger also emerges as a reciter with readings; his literary programs include a. Texts by Kurt Tucholsky , but especially by Bavarian authors such as Ludwig Thoma , Karl Valentin and especially Oskar Maria Graf .
He worked as a lecturer for media and theater education in Benediktbeuern and at the Pedagogical Institute in Munich. Steigenberger lives in his parents' house in Beuerberg (as of July 2017).
