Günther Paal
Günther "Gunkl" Paal (born March 23, 1962 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cabaret artist and musician .
Live and act
Günther Paal made his name for the first time as a member of the Wiener Wunder group , which had a top 10 hit in the Austrian charts in 1986 with Loretta and in 1994 contributed the soundtrack to the Austrian hit Muttertag - Die härere Komödie . In addition to solo programs, Paal has been playing the saxophone and electric bass in Alfred Dorfer's performance band since 1993 . From 2004 to 2011 he appeared regularly in his television satirical show Dorfers Donnerstalk as an “expert on everything anyway” .
In 1997 Paal was the presenter of the ORF cultural program kunst-pieces . In 2013, Gunkl was the patron of the Giordano Bruno Foundation's art prize “Der cheeky Mario” .
Günther Paal has been playing with Manuel Rubey , Cathi Priemer , Clara Luzia , Gerald Votava and Boris Fiala in the Lässig group since 2014 .
