Paul Pizzera (born July 17, 1988 in Deutschlandsberg , Styria ) is an Austrian cabaret artist and rock / pop singer .

Life

Paul Pizzera grew up in Hitzendorf , where he also attended elementary school. He then graduated from high school Dreihackengasse in Graz district Gries , in which he in 2006 graduated . After doing community service in a home of Volkshilfe Österreich in Wetzelsdorf , he began studying German at the University of Graz in 2007 . In 2011 he graduated with a bachelor's degree .

2007: Community service in the Volkshilfeheim Wetzelsdorf; for the first time on a poetry slam stage and then no longer to be brought down; First contact with live cabaret in the theater café and madly in love with Mike Supancic and Martin Puntigam ;

From 2007 to 2010 he performed at over a hundred poetry slam festivals in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. In 2011 Pizzera won the Grazer Kleinkunstvogel in the Theatercafé Graz , in 2012 the jury and audience award at the Freistädter Frischling . His family name comes from a Spanish ancestor.

Together with Otto Jaus , he founded the dialect pop duo Pizzera & Jaus in 2015 . Together they had several musical successes, including the song Jedermann and the album Unheard of solid , both of which took first place in the respective music charts. In autumn 2017 they also started a joint music cabaret program.

At the Ybbsiade 2017, Paul Pizzera was awarded the Ybbs jester.
