Pizzera & Jaus is a music project by the two Austrian cabaret artists and musicians Paul Pizzera and Otto Jaus .

background

Before their time together, Pizzera and Jaus were among other things with solo cabaret programs. On November 21, 2013 Otto Jaus jumped in at the Long Night of Cabaret in the Stadttheater Leoben and met Paul Pizzera during a cigarette break, who had already performed regularly in Leoben in previous years . In 2015 at the latest, the two met with producer Erwin Bader and began to write songs together. In October 2015, they released their first music video, We Wins, on their joint YouTube channel. Paragraphs> main clauses followed at the end of the year . With their humorous, rocking dialect songs, they first conquered an audience on the Internet and were then played on the radio.

The breakthrough came in August 2016 with the third song Jedermann . It entered the Austrian charts at number 18 and rose to number 1 within four weeks . Then the two older songs also made their way into the charts. The number of views on YouTube rose to several million. Everyone was awarded platinum for 30,000 units sold . The song was named Song of the Year at the Amadeus Awards . The duo also received the award in the Pop / Rock category, and they were among the nominees for Band of the Year.

Another chart hit followed at the beginning of 2017 with Eine ins Leben , which entered number 3. For the same year Pizzera & Jaus planned an album and a joint music cabaret program. At the beginning of September, Unheardly appeared solid and entered the album charts at number 1. It achieved gold status. The cabaret program of the same name started in October.

On September 7th, 2018 Pizzera & Jaus released two new songs: #janeinvielleicht and dialekt's mi .

As part of the Amadeus Awards 2018 , they received nominations in the three categories Album of the Year for Unheard of Solid , Song of the Year for One Into Life and Pop / Rock, and were awarded in the Album of the Year category. In 2019 they were named Live Act of the Year .
