Lutz van der Horst
Lutz Alwin van der Horst (* 20th August 1975 in Cologne ) is a German comedy - writer , comedian and television host .
biography
After studying German and English at the University of Cologne , van der Horst initially worked as a speaker and author for radio and, from 2000, also for television . Here he wrote as a permanent author for various formats for the Cologne production company Brainpool, such as Die Wochenshow , Rent a Pocher and TV total . He then worked as a freelance writer for other comedy shows such as Switch reloaded , Sechserpack and Harald Schmidt . Together with Manuel Butt and Thomas Rogel, who later also wrote the heute-show , he founded the author's office N 2 O Comedy in 2008 (N 2 O is the chemical formula for laughing gas ).
From December 2001, van der Horst also appeared in front of the camera for the first time. In the ProSieben show TV total he appeared in a pink rabbit costume as a bubble bunny . His later portrayal as a satirical reporter also began in this show on August 28, 2003 with the character of Günni ("Günni's last chance"), which included street surveys, skits and provoked situations with passers-by in the manner of the hidden camera . He also worked as a spokesperson for various Pro7 programs such as Gina-Lisas Welt and Singing Bee .
Since the end of 2009 he has been a satirical external reporter for the heute-show on ZDF , for which he also works as an author. On the radio ( 1 live ) and on stage he imitated an unsuccessful stand-up comedian by the name of Jimmy Breuer , who is the exact opposite of a skilled joke professional with deliberately wrong punch lines at the wrong times. Since September 2016 he has been playing the prison guard "Frosch" in Johann Strauss ' operetta Die Fledermaus at the Hessian State Theater Wiesbaden . He lives in Cologne-Ehrenfeld and became a member of the SPD in 2016 as part of a satirical heute-show contribution . In the meantime, he has resigned from the SPD, according to a recent video on the show today.
In October 2019, the Eric Dean Hordes film Goblin was released. Van der Horst plays the role of Arabello in it.
In spring 2020 he founded the synth band TIPPY TOPPY with Thilo Gosejohann and Axel Hilgenstöhler , which is stylistically based on the eighties . With the song "Disdance", a pop song about social distance in times of Corona, they celebrated TV premiere on June 1, 2020 in the ZDF TV garden .
