Singing Bee
Singing Bee is: (Bee = meeting, wreath here) a NBC - Game Show , which in the 2007 United States started, but now running successfully in other countries, such as Australia or the Philippines .
The show concept is based on the principle of karaoke singing. In various competitions, the candidates have to prove textual confidence, the vocal performance is not decisive. In all competitions the singers of the studio band stop singing during a song excerpt and the candidate must continue singing with the correct text.
Singing Bee in Germany
The moderators of the German edition on ProSieben , which started on September 9, 2008, are Oliver Petszokat and Senna Guemmour .
In the German edition, the comedian Tony Marony usually sang a song out loud that he heard with headphones without any knowledge of English. Candidates from the audience had to guess which song he was singing. The correct answer was € 500. The German edition was discontinued on November 18, 2008 due to poor audience ratings.
In contrast to what is shown on the show, the candidates are cast beforehand .
