Christiane Stenger (born June 4, 1987 in Munich ) is a German television presenter , former up- and - coming memory athlete and non-fiction author .

Life

From 1999 to 2003 Christiane Stenger was repeatedly junior world champion in memory sports . She learned mnemonics in her youth from Gunther Karsten . In the adult category, she was unable to repeat the successes from her youth and was most recently ranked 65th in the world. She has not been active as a memory athlete since 2004.

She has been a speaker ever since and published her first book on mnemonics, Why The Sheep Falls From The Tree , which has been translated into English, Chinese and Japanese. In 2005 she founded "Keep in Mind. Memory Training" and since then has been passing on her knowledge in seminars to all interested parties as well as students and companies.

The video game manufacturer Nintendo booked her in 2007 as an advertising character for the marketing of the Nintendo DS games Dr. Kawashima's brain jogging and Big Brain Academy . In the same year she worked in 30 Germany-wide workshops for a Dextro Energy advertising tour for prospective high school graduates. She also published her second book called Gummy Bears in Spinach .

In August 2010 Christiane Stenger received the “Future Victress Award” from the Victress Initiative eV . She is the youngest ever winner of this award.

After completing her apprenticeship at the Stage School Hamburg in 2013, she has been moderating the program Wie werd 'ich ...? Together with Lutz van der Horst since January 3, 2013 . on ZDFneo . In 2014, Campus Verlag published her third book Do not leave your brain unattended! Instructions for use for your head .

Since 2016 she has been co-moderating the ZDF show Germany's super brain . In 2016, Rowohlt Verlag published her fourth book Who wants to learn, must feel. How our senses help memory . Since 2019 she has moderated the philosophical Audible podcast Never Say Nietzsche together with Samira El Ouassil .
